2025 MOBO Awards Nominees: Nigerian Stars Shine Bright

The nominees for the highly anticipated 2025 Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards have been revealed, and Nigerian artists are making waves across several categories.

Asake, Tems, and Ayra Starr have received nods for the prestigious Best International Act award. They will be competing with global icons like Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, and Megan Thee Stallion in what promises to be a star-studded event.

The Best African Music Act category highlights the dominance of Nigerian music, with heavyweights such as Asake, Ayra Starr, BNXN & Ruger, Odumodublvck, Rema, Shallipopi, and Tems among the contenders. They are joined by South African sensations Tyla and Uncle Waffles, as well as Ghanaian star King Promise.
