Suspected kidnappers have taken Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Tarhembe hostage in Taraba State. This incident was verified by John Jerome Laikei, the Communication Officer of the Catholic Diocese of Wukari, in a statement.
Fr. Laikei revealed that the priest was kidnapped from his parish, Saint Ann’s Parish in Sarkin Kudu, Ibi Local Government Area of the state, during the early hours of Sunday, October 29, 2023.
The statement also appealed to residents to keep him in their prayers for a safe and swift return. Abdullahi Usman, the spokesperson of the state Police Command, has also confirmed the occurrence.
