Hakim Ziyech Departs from Chelsea Football Club

In a recent update, Chelsea Football Club has officially shared news about the departure of Moroccan International Hakim Ziyech. The announcement was made on Sunday, August 20, 2023, through the club’s official website. Ziyech’s move to Galatasaray, a Turkish club, is confirmed to be a loan deal, but with a significant twist – a contract clause mandates an eventual purchase.

Ziyech, aged 30, originally joined Chelsea from Ajax in the summer transfer window of 2020. His tenure at the club coincided with remarkable achievements, including securing victories in the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

During his time at Chelsea, Ziyech showcased his talents in 107 appearances, managing to score 14 goals. Notably, supporters will forever recall his standout goal against Villarreal in the Super Cup during the kickoff of the 2021/22 season in Belfast.

The decision for Chelsea and the winger to part ways has been in the works for a while. Although efforts were previously made to finalize this transition, various obstacles emerged. In January, a prospective move to Paris Saint Germain was derailed due to incomplete paperwork. More recently, a potential transfer to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr fell through due to reported issues with Ziyech’s medical evaluations.”
