According to a report by Debut Hub, Nathaniel Bassey led the gospel trio with 52.8 million streams, closely followed by Mercy Chinwo with 46.4 million, while Moses Bliss impressed with 41.5 million streams between January and March 2025.
Mercy Chinwo’s enduring anthem “Excess Love” remains a fan favorite, boasting a massive 133 million total plays. Nathaniel Bassey’s spiritually uplifting tracks continue to attract global listeners, with “Yahweh Sabaoth” clocking 25 million streams, “TOBECHUKWU” featuring Mercy Chinwo pulling in 39 million, and “Jesus Iye” reaching 32 million streams.
Moses Bliss, now officially ranked among the nation’s streaming elites, marks a significant milestone for the gospel genre on international platforms.
Meanwhile, Afrobeats sensation Rema remains Nigeria’s streaming king with a record-breaking 223 million streams in Q1 2025. His smash hit “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez, has soared to an astonishing 2.5 billion plays on YouTube Music.
Other notable Nigerian acts dominating the streaming charts include Burna Boy (171M), Ayra Starr (169M), Davido (113M), and Wizkid (102M), showcasing the wide global appeal of Nigerian music across genres.
