The joyous news comes less than a year after the pair secretly tied the knot in December 2023 in Nelly’s hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. Their love story, which spans two decades, continues to capture hearts worldwide.
The pregnancy follows the birth of their first child, Kareem Kenkaide Hayne, born on July 18, 2024. Ashanti, 44, previously shared her emotional experience during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying, “I cried; it was just so emotional and spiritual at the same time. Having a vision of this moment for so long … it was such an electrifying feeling.”
Nelly, 50, and Ashanti first crossed paths at a Grammy Awards press conference in 2003, collaborating over the years on hits like “Body on Me” (2008) and their latest track, “This Lil’ Game We Play” (2024).
