Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie Ranked 4th Best Goalkeeper in the World at Ballon d’Or

Super Falcons star Chiamaka Nnadozie has received global recognition after being ranked the fourth-best goalkeeper in the world at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards in Paris.

The Nigerian international, who plays for Paris FC in France, made the top five in the inaugural Women’s Yashin Trophy — an award dedicated to honoring the best female goalkeepers worldwide.

England and Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton emerged as the first-ever winner of the prize after an incredible year that saw her guide the Lionesses to Euro 2025 victory and help Chelsea secure a domestic treble. Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger took second place, while Spain’s Cata Coll finished third.

For Nnadozie, this recognition marks another milestone in her fast-rising career. She first gained international attention at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup with her heroic Player of the Match display in Nigeria’s stunning win over co-hosts Australia. Since then, she has grown into one of Africa’s finest goalkeepers and a reliable force for both club and country.

Hampton’s triumph capped a historic season in which she kept 13 clean sheets in the Women’s Super League, won the Golden Glove, and played a decisive role in England’s European triumph.
