During the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in New Jersey on Tuesday, the Benin-born musician explicitly stated his eagerness to collaborate with female superstars.
Rema mentioned his hopes of working with rappers Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion in the near future. He enthusiastically stated, “I’m looking forward to possibly collaborating with Meg and Nicki. And who else? Yeah, I want to team up with some amazing female artists.”
It’s worth noting that Rema made history by winning the inaugural “Best Afrobeats Song” award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, surpassing artists like Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and others. The awards ceremony took place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, USA, on Tuesday.
