Stars Shine at 2025 Ballon d’Or Ceremony in Paris

The 2025 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony in Paris on Monday night celebrated football’s finest, with standout players, coaches, and clubs receiving global recognition.

Arsenal’s new signing Viktor Gyökeres, who dazzled last season with Sporting Lisbon, won the Gerd Müller Trophy as the best striker of the year, edging out some of Europe’s top forwards.

Spain’s Luis Enrique was honoured with the Men’s Johan Cruyff Trophy for Best Coach, after steering his national team to Euro 2025 triumph. On the women’s side, England manager Sarina Wiegman claimed the same award for her role in guiding the Lionesses to continental glory.

In the goalkeeping category, Italy’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, now at Manchester City, lifted the Men’s Yashin Trophy, while Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton became the first-ever winner of the Women’s Yashin Trophy.

Youth talent also took center stage, with Barcelona’s rising stars dominating the Kopa Trophies: Lamine Yamal was named Best Young Male Player, while Vicky López earned the women’s award.

The Club of the Year prizes went to Paris Saint-Germain in the men’s category and Arsenal Women in the women’s, reflecting their domestic and continental dominance.

The glittering Paris gala highlighted football’s global excellence, with Arsenal, Barcelona, PSG, and Spain’s national teams emerging as some of the night’s biggest winners.
