Napoli’s dynamic forward, Victor Osimhen, has shed light on his future with the Serie A club, dispelling transfer rumors as the 2023 summer transfer window edges closer to its end.
The revelation came in response to questions posed to Osimhen after Napoli’s debut Serie A match against Frosinone. Osimhen disclosed that discussions between him and the club are ongoing, but, at present, he proudly remains a Napoli player.
This declaration comes on the heels of swirling speculations linking the Serie A’s top scorer from the previous season with a move away from Naples. Notably, a Saudi Arabian club has tabled a staggering €200 million bid for Osimhen.
Osimhen addressed the situation by stating, “The president is the boss, we are still negotiating, we’ll see at the end of the transfer window. For now, I am a Napoli player which is the most important thing. I will give my heart and soul to this team as I’ve always done in the past. We’ll see what happens.”
Reports suggest that since the transfer window opened, Osimhen’s agent has been engaged in a series of meetings with Napoli’s representatives, and a mutually beneficial agreement appears to be within reach.
